Book of the Week

So, my reading of H.G. Wells' The Invisible Man has been put on indefinite hold. I just can't get into it enough to want to finish it. So this week, my book is What Happened to Goodbye by Sarah Dessen. This will probably be incredibly biased as Sarah Dessen is my favorite author and anytime one of her books comes out I tend to go a little crazy. In fact, I read it in six and a half hours!

First off, I'd like to say that I loved this book! It was really good! I loved the lesson in it, how you may be able to change or reinvent yourself, but in the end, you will always have to return to being you. Probably everyone can admit that at one time or another they have wanted to just pick up and leave and become someone else, yet, in this book we see the emotional consequences of doing that.

I also enjoyed the return of Jason Talbot. (If you have not read any of her other books, this is the third one where the Jason Talbot character has made an appearance). I also loved the fact that he got a more central role. In the past books, he has been a snobbish and unlikeable character, but finally he got to be redeemed for me. He actually turns out to be a really nice guy.

So, if you are looking for a book that is interesting as well as something that you can read pretty quickly, you should definitely read this book. Also, you should read her other books because they are all really good! All in all I give this book 5 stars!

The next book I am reading is The Nanny Diaries.
